The Elin Björk Educational Scholarship Award.

The Board of Sveaborg Lodge encourages Sveaborg Lodge members, their children and their grandchildren to apply for the annual scholarship.

The current scholarship for an academic year is $500.

Applicants must be a current senior in high school, or enrolled in a college, university or trade school.

Applicants must submit the following:

• Two letters of recommendations from teachers or counselors

• A copy of their last official transcript
• A brief essay which discusses their career goal and motivation for selecting the goal; their involvement in    Sveaborg Lodge, Vasa Blad Children’s Club, or VASA; and their interest in Nordic culture and heritage.

Applications will be available in January of each year. The final dates for requesting applications in March and 
submitting the completing applications in April will be specified on the application.

The scholarship committee will review all applications and recommend the most qualified applicants to the Sveaborg Lodge Board to make the final decision.

The recipient will be notified in May.
